blabe in use: Fn is held in a terminal running Claude Code, the pill shows the microphone level, and the spoken prompt is pasted at the cursor and sent.

See it send a prompt.

Fn held in Claude Code: speak, let go, and the prompt sends.

Never sends at a shell prompt.

blabe presses Return only in a coding agent it recognizes: the Claude or Codex app, or claude, codex, gemini, aider and other agents running in a terminal. If it can’t tell what’s in front of you, it pastes and stops.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Hold Fn and speak

The microphone is on only while you hold the key.

  2. Step 2

    Let go

Microsoft’s MAI-Transcribe 2 turns it into text. It was benchmarked 5–10× faster than OpenAI’s, ElevenLabs’ and Google’s transcription models (Microsoft AI, September 3, 2026, citing Artificial Analysis).

  3. Step 3

    It’s pasted

Your words land where your cursor is, minus the “um”s. Hold Fn and press Return to send it too.

Built for the tools you already talk to.

Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, opencode, Aider, Amp, Cursor Agent, GitHub Copilot CLI, Goose, Crush, Qwen Code and Droid, running in Terminal, iTerm2, Ghostty, kitty, WezTerm, Warp or Alacritty, or in the VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Zed and JetBrains terminals, plus the Claude and Codex desktop apps. Everywhere else, blabe pastes and you decide when to send.

Idle means idle.

When you aren’t holding the key, blabe runs no timers, no polling and no audio. Your recording goes over HTTPS to blabe’s transcription service and Microsoft’s MAI-Transcribe 2, the text comes back, and blabe saves no recordings on your Mac.
